Transgenic mouse models have become an
important tool with which to evaluate vaccinations with putative human
antigens. HLA-A2 transgenic mice express modified class I MHC
molecules combining the alpha-1 and alpha-2 domains of HLA-A*02:01 with the alpha-3
domain of H-2Kb.
In order to study the cytotoxic T cell immune
response in such mice it has been suggested that chimeric A2Kb
multimers can be used in order to detect accurately the relevant immune
responses. |
